“Act first, think later” was what our founders had in mind when they decided to acquire this 15-hectare area. Although they had no real vision of what they wanted to do with it, they knew that somehow they wanted to preserve the natural beauty and local heritage from the kind of mass-tourism development that has overrun other beautiful, natural spots in Vietnam.

The story began with a stunning waterfall, running through the area bringing life with it. Thirty-six gorgeous villas nestle on the mountainside and await a luxury retreat in the midst of nature. Inspired by ethnic culture, rattan ceilings, earth walls, and thatched roof blend seamlessly into a backdrop of imposing forest, terraced rice fields, and the vast valley below.

Selections of traditional Vietnamese remedies are ready to ease your body and mind into the harmony of soft springs, birds singing, and leaves fluttering. Amid nature’s constant motion, this secluded place stands silently as a wellness sanctuary for travellers.

Avana’s Yoga and Meditation classes take place on the uphill pergola H'mong Cottage. Gently liven up your mind and body amid stillness with the guidance of the instructor. Master your breath, calm your mind, and let your senses loose to the beauty of the present.
Private time among the breathtaking nature is on offer at Pung Waterfall - the beating heart of Avana Retreat. At dusk, you and your loved ones will have the waterfall to yourself, as the scene ignites in candlelight and enchantment. There will be champagne, flowers, gourmet food, and dreams of romance come true in the beautiful sound of gentle fountains.
Inspired by the terraced rice fields of Mai Chau, our gorgeous three-layer pool boasts a panoramic view of the valley, rice fields, and the waterfall cascading down through the greenery of the forest. In a four-season pool, the water is always heated for guests to dive in all year round. In the winter, heavy clouds wriggle through the high canopy and blanket the valley in white, and there is no better place to witness this phenomenon than the Cloud Pool.
