The Bamboo Forest is open from 9:00 - 11:00 and 14:30 - 16:30 daily.

It's cooking time!

Have some fun time in the kitchen with the Little Chef session, where you all get down to prepping and cooking children-approved recipes, then comes the kids’ favourite part: munching on delicious creations!

The Stilt House Museum is home to a collection of artifacts, traditional tools and costumes of the three ethnic groups residing in Mai Chau - Thai, H’mong and Muong.

The Stilt House Museum is home to a collection of artifacts, traditional tools and costumes of the three ethnic groups residing in Mai Chau - Thai, H’mong and Muong. A 30-minute museum tour with a guide every afternoon gives a better understanding of the culture in the mountains.

Get crafty in the rattan weaving workshop with our experienced artisan.

Get your hands crafty in Avana’s rattan weaving workshop under the Stilt House Museum with our oldest artisan, who has mastered the art of rattan weaving ever since his youthful days. Learn how to interlace each strand into a basket and bring your creation home.

Thai weaving textiles are a rich and complex illustration of a unique art form fostered through generations. Vibrant colors, intricate motifs, and complicated dyeing are weaved beautifully under the skillful hands of female artisans. Observe the meticulous process and grasp knowledge about their creativity on the patterns.

Learn the craft of Batik - an ancient technique that's very popular in the Hmong community

The art of Batik is H’mong’s pride, with hand-loomed hemp, elaborate wax designs, and the signature indigo color. Learn the craft from native artisans in Stilt House Museum and end the workshop by bringing your masterpiece home.
