Dining at the Stilt House
Authentic local cuisine in an old traditional Thai stilt house
Built in 1970, the stilt house was carefully relocated and restored when Avana Retreat was founded. It first served as the home for the engineers and architects who turned Avana’s vision into reality. The house still keeps its original beams and bright window patterns, holding the charm of the past. Today, it has become a small museum that tells stories of the Thai, H’mong, and Muong communities through daily tools, jewelry, musical instruments, and clothing — pieces that let you glimpse the vibrant life and traditions of Vietnam’s Northwest mountains.
